J. MACK DENT, Artist
Brother Dent, one of the 3 Florida Upsilon Dent Brothers, graduated from
the University of Florida in 1956.
Although Mack Dent has been drawing all of his life, only since the
spring of 2001, has he been exhibiting his drawings of historically
significant places and people in groups, such as Famous Civil War
Generals and drawings of scenes from his youth in Southern Georgia. A
drawing of the Founders of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, created more recently as
a gift for his Grandson, William Nash, an SAE at University of GA, was
later made into prints and has become a popular item among the active
and alumnae brothers in the SAE Chapters in the Southeast. Mack donated
Framed prints of the SAE Founders to the University of Florida and the
University of Georgia Chapter Houses.
Never have there been more ardent Sons of Minerva, than the Dent
Brothers!
